Bar Chart & Box Plot Maker (with Error Bars and Data Points)
Paste data from Excel (one column per group, or a group column plus a value column) and get a mean ± SEM bar chart or a box plot with every replicate shown as a dot. Export SVG / PNG and a summary table.

Summary table
- Two layouts are accepted: wide (GraphPad style: one column per group with replicates below; columns may differ in length) and long (a group column and a value column, plus an optional subgroup column for side-by-side bars). A table with a repeating text column is read as long; you can switch under "Format and columns".
- Bar height = mean; error bars = SEM (standard error, SD / √n) or SD (sample standard deviation, n − 1 denominator). Groups with a single value get no error bar.
- Box plot: the box spans the quartiles (same algorithm as the R quantile default and ggplot2), the line is the median, and the whiskers reach the most extreme points within 1.5 × IQR.
- Each dot is one raw value. Horizontal jitter uses a fixed random seed, so the dots land in the same place every time.
- Same layout as on the platform: 6 pt Arial body text, widths of 61 / 89 / 183 mm. Long x-axis labels are wrapped or rotated 45° / 90°, and the canvas is widened if they still do not fit; you are warned if there are simply too many groups.
- No significance tests or stars here: whether to use a t-test, ANOVA or a non-parametric test, paired or not, and whether to correct for multiple comparisons all depend on the experimental design, and the wrong choice gives unreliable conclusions. For statistical testing, sign in to the platform and run a full analysis that matches your design.
